About Us

After a few years spent in Bordeaux working for some of the most prestigious Châteaux (Mouton Rotschild, Château Giscours, Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte), Pauline de Martini has decided to take an MBA in Wine Marketing and Management at INSEEC Bordeaux.

Her 5 months internship brough her to South Africa where she discovered the beauty of the Cape Winelands: “Impressed by what is still considered today as one of the most spectacular and well developed wine route in the whole world, I took the decision to leave France for South Africa in order to gain some experience in a field I have always been passionate about: wine tourism ”.

After having worked as a freelance guide for a few companies, she decided in 2008 to open La Route des Vins to welcome not only French but international tourists as well in the winelands. “My wish is really to transmit to any tourists coming over to Cape Town, my love for South African wines and drive them through the immense beauty and diversity of the Cape winelands”.
